Latest News: Holly is currently recording her first CD. She also found time recently to attend an Open Mic evening at a local pub (The Traveller's Joy)  to play a few songs - it actually ended up being rather a lot of songs! Luckily, one of the attendees had a camera with them and placed a video clip on Facebook - you can see it here.

Isle of Wight singer-songwriter Holly Kirby completed her final school exams on June 18th 2009, and is now taking a musical gap year between school and university. Holly has accepted a place for 2010 studying Creative Music Technology  at the University of Surrey, where, in the words of the course, she will learn from leading industry practitioners including Oscar, Emmy and BAFTA winners. Meanwhile, she intends to learn as much as possible out in the real world, and has already played quite a lot of public gigs and private functions, and more are planned.

Holly's recent public gigs include one at the world-famous Isle of Wight Festival on June 13th 2009, when she played a selection of her favourite original and cover songs in the Kashmir Cafe tent.

Before that, previous events include one, on December 19th 2008 at Southampton Guildhall, where she played "Poison Prince" as a guest with Amy MacDonald - you can read about it on the E-Team page.

Holly is very keen on playing more gigs, and is putting the money raised from the gigs towards the production of a CD of her music. As well as her originals, Holly can play a wide selection of cover songs. In her gigs she plays Lady her guitar, and sings a mix of originals, modern songs, and old traditional favourites, and sometimes performs some ukulele songs which go down very well.
